Organized sports have long provided young people with a path toward health, fitness, and personal growth. But if you attend school in a low-income area of this city, your opportunities to play are few and far between — and shrinking.

Declining public school funding and expensive pay-to-play fees mean many of New York City's children have been shut out. Those who do play are often unable to afford the basics: sneakers, safety equipment, uniforms.

Youth sports should not be a luxury. Mission North is committed to closing this access gap, supporting underfunded teams that represent a positive force in the lives of children across New York City.
